    Save data during experiment

    Hi all,

I have a video file in one of my scripts and I have the strong belief that some users either turn off their computer when they reach it or their computer crashes.

I was wondering if there is a way in Inquisit to save the data that has been collected up to one point and then proceed with the experiment. I guess onw way would be to have two script files and link the first script to the second one using some automatic redirection on the last page. This would however create two files that would need to be properly merged and would not be as seamless.

Is there any way to do an intermediate data save on the server and then continue within the same script?

    Thanks,

    Felix

    Re: Save data during experiment

Is it a QuickTime video perhaps? Keep in mind not everyone has the QuickTime player installed. Also, QuickTime may be a tad less stable than Media Player on Windows.

Currently, there is no way to do an intermediate data save on the server except by factoring your experiment into different scripts as you suggested. It is an interesting idea, however, and I'll give some thought about whether and how this could be added to a future release.

    Regards,

    Sean
