Hey everybody,

When I'm working with the latest edition of Inquisit, when I used elements like ' " ^ or ~, it automatically puts down two of these. I know it could be handy because you won't forget the symbols on the end, but I like it better to put in all the symbols myself. Is this an option that Inquisit has, or is it something in Windows (which I'm using). If it is an option in Inquisit, is it possible to change this?

Do you mean when you are typing in the editor? To my knowledge, if you type any of those characters in the Inquisit, you just get that character and no duplicate. Is that not what you are seeing?

Yes, that does happen in the editor. But the strange thing is: I tried it on my own computer and it doesn't happen, but on another computer I'm using it does happen. A friend of mine also has it. But if it is computer depended, it probably has something to do with Windows I guess..

Strange, I'm not sure what could be causing this. Inquisit uses the Windows RichText Edit control for the editor, so it's possible your computer has something installed that hooks the input to this control and tries to do cute things like automatically adding close quotes. Are you aware of having installed something like that?

It's always possible there's a bug in Inquisit that is being triggered by something specific to your configuration, but offhand, I can't imagine how that could be.

No, I don't remember installing that. But it's the computer of my parents and brother, so it's possible they installed it.
And it could be possible, but I don't think that's it. Lets just keep it at something to do with the configuration.
