I am brand-new to Inquisit and was wondering if I could get some help here: I would like to create an experiment in which we flash images for 50 or 100ms and ask participants to make a rating on a 6-point scale after each image. images will be presented in a single randomized block. I would need an instructions, and end page, too. If anyone has done something like this or knows where to find an example script  - would be great hearing from you, thanks!

Hi there,

being a long-time Inquisit user, I can assure you that all of the above can be done with Inquisit in very easy and straightforward manner. Because I doubt that anyone has a script exactly like that available, you should be able to create it yourself without too much hassle. It's really, really easy once you've taken - say - two hours to get acquainted to how Inquisit works.

In order to get a good idea on how to program experimental tasks with Inquisit,  I'd recommend you start with the tutorials in the Inquisit help file. And then of course there's the Inquisit Task Library at http://www.millisecond.com/download/samples/ which hosts tons of ready-made scripts for you to look at and adapt to your needs. If you encounter any specific problems in the course of your experiment's development, this user forums usually is a good place to ask for advice.

Hope this helps,

~Dave
