Format of Likert scale anchors

Hello, I am using a likert scale, and I'd like to know whether I can change the format (font, color, background color of the anchors. The problem I am facing is that after I modified the colors of the screen and text in (txcolor from black to white, screencolor and txbgcolor from white to black), the anchors suddenly got bigger and went outside the boundary of the screen, and also the whole scale is still white-on-black (not black-on-white as I intend it to). Is there any way this can be fixed? Best, SangHee
