This script implements The Adolescent Risk Behavior Screen (ARBS) as described in:

Jankowski, MK, Rosenberg, HJ, Sengupta, A, Rosenberg, SD, & Wolford, GL (2007). Development of a Screening Tool to
Identify Adolescents Engaged in Multiple Problem Behaviors: The Adolescent Risk Behavior Screen (ARBS).
Journal of Adolescent Health, 40, 180.e19 –180.e26.

Participants fill out a 9 item survey to assess risk for high risk behavior in adolescents.

The default data stored in the data files are:

(1) Raw data file: 'ARBS.iqdat' (a separate file for each participant)

date, time, group, subject: date and time script was run with the current group/subjectnumber
build: the Inquisit build

q*_response: response given (in assigned values)
q*_latency: how much time the participant spent on the surveypage with this particular question
(the last time this particular surveypage was visited)

(2) Summary data file: 'ARBS_summary*.iqdat' (a separate file for each participant)

script.startdate: date script was run
script.starttime: time script was started
script.subjectid: subject id number
script.groupid: group id number
script.elapsedtime: time it took to run script (in ms)
computer.platform: the platform the script was run on
/completed: 0 = script was not completed (prematurely aborted); 1 = script was completed (all conditions run)
/totalscore: the totalscore based on all answered questions
/count_answeredquestions: counts all answered questions
/meanscore: calculates the mean score (used as substitute if not all questions are answered)
/ARBS_score: the ARBS score (based on totalscore)
!!!Note: for 1 or 2 missing questions => the mean is substituted
If more than 2 questions are left unanswered, the totalscore is not calculated in this script
/riskassessment: totalscore_ARBS > 17: high risk; totalscore_ARBS <= 17: not high risk (if not enough data => "Cannot be determined")
"For most purposes, we recommend using a cut-off of greater than 17 for both girls and boys." (Jankowski et al, 2007)

* age/gender survey questions
* 9 item survey to assess risk for high risk behavior in adolescents
* lowest risk answer for each questions receives a score of 1 => minimum score = 9 (highest score = 30)
* the questions in this script are not required to be answered
To change: go to QUESTIONS and change /required = true to /required = true

check under EDITABLE CODE below for (relatively) easily editable parameters, stimuli, instructions etc.
Keep in mind that you can use this script as a template and therefore always "mess" with the entire code to further customize your experiment.

The parameters you can change are:

/pageinstructions: the instructions that appear at the top of each surveypage
