Iowa Gambling Task

Templates, samples, demos for the Iowa Gambling Task.
Demonstrates a demographic survey. This script displays a page of pictures and a second page of words, and asks participants to select 3 from each. Their selections are used to create two custom item sets.

These samples can be run with Inquisit 2 or Inquisit 3.

Title Description
IAT Task This sample shows how to design an IAT modeled after the version administered on the Project Implicit web site. The script is designed to be easily adapted to other target and attribute categories. The following SPSS command file can be used to score the data.
Picture IAT Task This sample shows how to design an IAT that uses picture stimuli modeled after the version administered on the Project Implicit web site. The script is designed to be easily adapted to other target and attribute categories.
Customized Item IAT Task This sample demonstrates an IAT in which participants provide the items in the target categories. The script is designed to be easily adapted to different target and attribute categories.
Self Esteem IAT This sample demonstrates an IAT used to measure a respondent's implicit positive and negative association with his or herself.
Stroop Task with Speech Recognition This demonstrates the classic Stroop task. It uses speech recognition to analyze the content and latency of color naming responses.

Fitts Law This demo shows an empirical test of Fitt's Law, a model of human psychomotor behavior developed in 1954 for rapid, aimed hand movements.
Affective Priming Task where the presentation of an attitude-object may interfere with the latency with which participants categorize adjectives as positive or negative.
Generic IAT Provides a somewhat older standard template for the IAT and includes an SPSS command file for data analysis.
IAT with Mouse responses Runs IAT and gathers responses using the mouse.
IAT with Touchscreen responses Gathers IAT responses using a touchscreen.
