A single web license enables you to have one experiment online at a time, with no limits to the number of participants running the experiment simultaneously or in sequence. When an experiment is complete, it can be replaced with a new experiment. Additional web licenses can be purchased to have multiple studies online at once. You can run any Inquisit script, whether it came from our task library, a colleague, or you created it yourself.

Web licenses may be purchased individually or for unlimited use within an entire department. We offer web licenses that remain active for a fixed periods of time as well as perpetual licenses with no expiration date. If the license is for a fixed interval of time, you choose when the interval starts.

If all of your web licenses have all expired, you have a month to download any data files from our web server. After that, data files may be deleted as necessary to clear space on our servers. For accounts with active web licenses, there are currently no disk quotas in place for data files stored on our servers. It is conceivable that we might have to impose quotas at some point in the future, in which case you will be given ample time to download any files in excess of the quota before they are deleted.

For most of our web licenses, we charge a "primary" license rate for the first web license you purchase, and a lower "additional" rate for each subsequent license, whether purchased in combination with the primary license or in a future order. For any given web license, any previously purchased Inquist 3 Web license of equal or longer duration will be counted as a primary license. For example, if you have previously purchased a 1-Year license, any subsequent 1-Year and 2-Month licenses you purchase are billed at the additional license rate.

A web licenses provides access to all of the web services required to administer your experiments over the web. However, you will likely need at least one registered copy of Inquisit 3 Desktop Edition to edit and test your scripts before publishing them to the web. Many of our web licenses include a single desktop license so that you have the tools you need to create your experiments.

If you plan to use Inquisit 3 Web Edition for a time-limited project, the 2-month web license offers an affordable way to leverage our web services. The license expires after two calendar months. Any desktop licenses for designing and testing experiments must be purchased separately.

If you expect data collection for your project to last between 6 months and 1 year, the 1-Year license is probably the best option. The license expires after 1 year. The 1-Year license includes a single desktop license (a $450 value).

* Each Inquisit 2 Web license can be upgraded to a 1-Year Inquisit 3 Web license free of charge.

The 3-Year license, which expires 3 years after activation, is designed to cover longer term research needs. The 3-Year license includes a single desktop license (a $450 value).

A Perpetual Web License does not expire, so it affords you as much time as you need to do your research. The Perpetual Web license includes a single desktop license (a $450 value).

The 3-Year Web Departmental Site License provides 3 years of unlimited use of both Inquisit 3 Web Edition and Inquisit 3 Desktop Edition. One or more representatives from the department serves as the primary contact for the account and is responsible for registering web scripts and distributing registration keys to other members as needed. The 3-Year Web Departmental Site license is a great way to provide your department complete access to all that Inquisit 3 has to offer.

The Perpetual Web Departmental Site License provides unlimited use of both Inquisit 3 Web Edition and Inquisit 3 Desktop Edition with no expiration date. One or more representatives from the department serves as the primary contact for the account and is responsible for registering web scripts and distributing registration keys to other members as needed. The Perpetual Web Departmental Site license ensures that everyone in your department will always have unlimited access an amazing set of research tools.
