correctmessage attribute

The correctmessage attribute specifies whether to display a feedback stimulus when the subject responds correctly.

Syntax

/ correctmessage = false

or

/ correctmessage = true(stimulusname, duration)

Parameters

stimulusname The name of a stimulus element defined elsewhere in the script.
duration An integer or property specifying duration in milliseconds for which the stimulus is displayed on the screen. A value of "0" indicates that stimulus should be displayed for the remaining duration of the trial.

Remarks

Correctmessage specifies a stimulus to be shown immediately after the subject gives a correct response on a trial. The stimulus is shown for duration milliseconds. Correctmessage can be set at the <trial>, <block>, or <expt> level, with <trial> settings overriding <block> settings and <block> settings overriding <expt> settings. Default is false.

Examples

The following block displays text for 500 milliseconds if a correct response is given:

The following block displays text for values.duration milliseconds if a correct response is given:
