(I don't mean the type of operating system, but rather, the physical device, (e.g., desktop or laptop computer instead of a phone or tablet, etc.). Thanks!

No way to tell laptops and desktops apart, but if you want to distinguish between devices that have a physical keyboard (laptops, desktops) vs those that do not (tablets, phones), then https://www.millisecond.com/support/docs/v5/html/language/properties/haskeyboard.htm is what you're looking for.
