Is there a way to restrict within the script itself the type of device used to participate in an Inquisit web experiment? (I don't mean the type of operating system, but rather, the physical device, (e.g., desktop or laptop computer instead of a phone or tablet, etc.). Thanks!

No way to tell laptops and desktops apart, but if you want to distinguish between devices that have a physical keyboard (laptops, desktops) vs those that do not (tablets, phones), then

https://www.millisecond.com/support/docs/v5/html/language/properties/haskeyboard.htm

is what you're looking for.
