Problems with german Umlaute ä, ü, ö

Group: Forum Members Posts: 10, Visits: 57	Dear all, For my german experiments, subjects are asked to write stories in a textbox. In Inquisit 3, the stories are saved the way they are written by the subject (including german umlaute ä, ö, ü). However, in Inquisit 5 these letters are saved in a weird way. For example, the word "würde" results in wÁ1/4rde. Does anyone know how to save the text the way it was written by the subject in Inquisit 5? Thank you and best regards, Jessica

Thank you and best regards, Jessica Make sure you save your script in .iqx format before administering it instead of using the legacy .exp format. You can do so via FIle -> Save As... in Inquisit Lab.
