This script implements Millisecond's computerized version of the Palatable Eating Motives Scale (PEMS)
by Burgress et al (2014).

Note: this script runs Spanish translations of the items. The Spanish translations were generously shared
by Marta Becerra Losada. They are not based on a publication.

self-report measure consisting of 20* 5-point Likert Scale questions on four subscales.

*Note: originally the survey consisted of 20 items but original question 15 is not used for analyses as it does not significantly load
onto any of the four subscales.
A revised version of the survey replaces q15 with an alternative. Check radiobuttons.q15 below for a possible alternative.

The default data stored in the data files are:

(1) Raw data file: 'pems.iqdat'

date, time:						date and time script was run with the current group/subjectnumber 
subject, group, session:	  	with the current subject/groupnumber/session id
build:							the Inquisit build 

q*_response:					response given (in assigned values)
								Scale: 1 (almost never) - 5 (almost always)
									
q*_latency:						how much time (in ms) the participant spent on the surveypage with this particular 
								question (the last time this particular surveypage was visited)

(2) Summary data file: 'pems_summary*.iqdat' (a separate file for each participant)

startTime:						time script was started
subjectid:						assigned subject id number
groupid:						assigned group id number
sessionid:						assigned session id number
elapsedTime:					time it took to run script (in ms); measured from onset to offset of script
completed:						0 = script was not completed (prematurely aborted); 
								1 = script was completed (all conditions run)	
							

PEMS_total: 					the sum of all subscore values (Range: 25-95)
							
PEMS_social:  				calculated based on: q3,q5,q11,q14,q16 (Range: 5-25)

PEMS_coping:  				calculated based on: q1,q4,q6,q17 (Range: 5-20)*
										if revised q15 is run: add radiobuttons.q15.response to subscale PEMS_coping

PEMS_enhancement:  	calculated based on: q7,q9,q10,q13,q18  (Range: 5-25)

PEMS_conformity:  		calculated based on: q2,q8,q12,q19,q20  (Range: 5-25)
