BACKGROUND INFO

This script implements the Behavioural Assessment Scale as described in:
Ritchie, K. & Ledesert, B. (1991). The Measurement of Incapacity in the Severly Demented Elderly: The
Validation of a Behavioural Assessment Scale. International Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry, 6, 217-226.
The Behavioural Assessment Scale assesses the intellectual functioning and adaptive behaviors in
patients suffering from severe dementia.

the script presents 11 surveypages that cover the 5 subcategories
(Language - 5 questions,
Social Integration - 5 questions,
Occupation & Orientation - 3 questions,
Physical Independence - 16 questions,
Mobility - 3 questions) described by Ritchie & Ledesert (1991)
A total score (expressions.BAS_score) is calculated at the end.

DATA FILE INFORMATION

The default data stored in the data files are:
(1) Raw data file: 'bas.iqdat'
date, time: date and time script was run with the current group/subjectnumber
subject, group, session: with the current subject/groupnumber/session id
build: the Inquisit build
q*_response: response given (in assigned values)
- see individual questions under section QUESTIONS for assigned values (/optionvalues = )
q*_latency: how much time in ms the participant spent on the surveypage with this particular question (the last time this particular surveypage was visited)
(2) Summary data file: 'bas_summary*.iqdat' (a separate file for each participant)
computer.platform: the platform the script was run on (win/mac/ios/android)
script.startdate: date script was run
script.starttime: time script was started
script.subjectid: assigned subject id number
script.groupid: assigned group id number
script.sessionid: assigned session id number
script.elapsedtime: time it took to run script (in ms); measured from onset to offset of script
script.completed: 0 = script was not completed (prematurely aborted);
1 = script was completed (all conditions run)
checkboxscore: stores the scoresum of all items presented as checkboxes
radiobuttonscore: calculates subtotal scoresum from all radiobutton items
BAS_score: calculates the totalscore based on all items
