OVERVIEW
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"The ESIQ features two subscales assessing sexual behavior (e.g., “I have enjoyed orally stimulating a
man/woman/boy/girl.”) and sexual fantasy (e.g., “I have daydreamed of having sex with a man/woman/boy/girl”)
with 5 items each.

The ten fantasy and behavior items are combined with the four types of targets
(man, woman, boy, or girl). Items were responded to in a dichotomous yes/no format.

Corresponding scale frequency scores are calculated from the
amount of “yes” responses divided by the number of scale items." (from Banse et al, 2010)"

q*_response: response given (in assigned values)
									Scale: (1) Yes - (0) No

q*_latency: how much time (in ms) the participant spent on the surveypage with this particular
question (the last time this particular surveypage was visited)

(2) Summary data file: 'esiq_summary.iqdat' (Inquisit Lab: one data file per participant)

inquisit.version: Inquisit version run

completed:							0 = script was not completed (prematurely aborted);
1 = script was completed (all conditions run)

BehaviorScaleYesResponses: number of 'Yes' responses on the Behavior Subscale
BehaviorScaleResponses: number of Behavior Subscale questions that participant responded to
BehaviorScaleScore: proportion of 'Yes' responses on the Behavior Subscale

FantasyScaleResponses: number of Fantasy Subscale questions that participant responded to
FantasyScaleScore: proportion of 'Yes' responses on the Fantasy Subscale

as well as raw data responses for all 40 questions
Example for q1 behavior scale

radiobuttons.q1_bev_w.response: q1 = question1, _bev=behavior, _w = woman
radiobuttons.q1_bev_b.response: q1 = question1, _bev=behavior, _b = boy

QUESTIONNAIRE SET-UP & SCORING
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
This script runs the Behavior and Fantasy subscales in a blocked design (first all behavior subscale questions,
followed by the fantasy scale questions.) The questions within each subscale follow the order as described
in table 1 in Benson et al (2010).
